A school without quality books is like a restaurant without good tasting food. One book may not be expensive. However, when you are trying to build a library for 31 students it can become overbearing. I am taking this initiative to build my classroom library because I personally understand the importance of reading quality books. My students will use these reading materials for homework assignments and independent reading during class. I love the sound of the classroom when students are engaged and lost within a book of interest or during whole class discussion where everyone has something to say about their book.
