We are a large school, and growing! Our town supported the building of a new high school so we could have more room for our students. Our students are an eclectic bunch. We have a large Vietnamese population. Most of our students have parents that work in the shrimping business. Many own shrimp boats and others work in allied industries. We have 2 large military bases in our area. Many students have active duty Air Force and Navy parents. There are several large industries in our area, and many of our students have parents that work in ship building. Many students have families that have lived in this area for many generations. A sense of community pride permeates our city and our new school. We are so blessed to have our community support education with facilities in which students can learn.
