My roughly 400 students are in grades K-5 at a rural elementary school in Texas. Each class is either on a three or four day rotation to music, depending on the grade. Many of them come from low income families and are native Spanish speakers that would not have the opportunity to experience playing any kind of music if they were not at school. There is no doubt that each of them LOVES to play the few keyboard instruments that we have, but they all agree that it is no fun to have to wait in a long rotation line to play one, and with increasing class sizes, the waiting in line part is getting longer and longer.
