I have many students of poverty. I have on average four to five different languages being spoken. Our school is in a suburban area of a larger city, but with a large percentage of students who receive free or reduced lunch. With this diverse population there is a wide range of skills amongst the students which allows for a rich community but also has many challenges. Our school also has several students who are disabled. This allows great opportunities for students to gain an understanding of all learners but also adds some additional challenges. The students want to learn and are enthusiastic and will gain from any and all opportunities to enrich their experiences.
