The students that this donation would benefit belong to a Title I elementary school in Chicago, Illinois. The school population reflects a 99% poverty level income . My students face challenges typical to life in an urban environment including drug related gang violence, second language and single-parent homes however, they are a steadfast bunch who has set out to beat the odds and will win! There are many areas in which we can improve, specifically in the area of integrating technology across the curriculum. I believe that my students would benefit from the use of technology. Not only would it increase student engagement, but students would gain deeper knowledge of the content by being able to use their auditory and visual skills. Students will be able to solidify their understanding by documenting their progress using point presentations.
