My students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, coming from single family homes and some from foster homes. They have the privilege of attending a school in a nice building, a building that their parents fought for. After having simply portables for many years my students were finally given an actual school building, one that they are very proud of. This nice building is not enough however, my students need and deserve materials that are going to enhance their learning experience.
