My students are individuals who have made mistakes in the past. Whatever the reason may be, their actions have brought them to my classroom. It is because of their mistakes that they have missed out on many opportunities to experience science. They are typically the kid who is absent or in the Principal's office and as such they don't get to see the reactions or experience the labs. Most of them are individuals for which "book work" does not work, often because they have such low reading levels that they can't read and understand the science textbooks. They need the hands on experiments, where they are up and out of their seat "doing" science. "
