The majority of the students I teach, approximately 98%, come from single-parent economically disadvantaged households. They attend a technologically advanced school in an urban school district. They are very intelligent students who come to school daily eager to learn. Unfortunately, once they leave the school building they become technologically deficient once again due to the fact many of them do not have computers at home or access to the internet. I want to level the intellectual playing field by offering learning experiences equal to those of their peers in more affluent communities. The utilization of the products I requested offers a mobile learning experience which allows me to assign activities they can take home. It also stresses to the parents the need in incorporate technology in the home so they too can see how today's child learns.
