My school is located in a low income area where a lot of the students come from a Hispanic or Haitian backgrounds. We have a large percentage of English language learners and an even larger amount of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. I teach 1st grade students. My students try hard but often lack books and other educational activities at home. They work hard at school and do their best to finish assignments at home!
