My students are college and workplace bound children from all over a large rural area. They are public school students who come from varied backgrounds of economic diversity. Some students have lived lives of great privilege, while others have lived lives of intense struggle. They are highly motivated by their grades, but might face challenges outside the school building which makes it difficult for them to achieve at their highest levels. Many face economic challenges, some working part-time jobs to ensure their families have the means necessary to survive. At the end of the day, though, my students are dedicated to their educational success and are willing to sacrifice their comfort to ensure they have the brightest possible future.

About my class
