My students attend a K-8 public charter school. Our school focuses on arts-integrated education, which includes visual art, music, drama, dance and technology. Our students are encouraged to access their creativity in a variety of ways, and the result is an imaginative, colorful and talented group of children. Our school views community as a vital aspect of learning and we develop positive connections with families and external resources. More than half of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch services but, as a charter school, we do not receive funding for food or transportation. Our families make a financial sacrifice to send their kids to us because they believe in our educational philosophy and practice.
