ELL (English Language Learners) gain and retain new information when they are given the opportunity to engage in lessons in which concrete materials are used to support their native language and English as well. Math manipulatives will help students engage in fun learning lessons that target Gardner’s learning styles, verbal, visual, logical, and kinesthetic. My students have the capability of learning, by incorporating math manipulatives they will be able to reach their grade level’s math learning goals. Their mathematical thinking ability will enhance their problem-solving skills with the use of manipulatives. Most if not all, math lessons will incorporate concrete objects so that students will be able to use their specific learning style to help them be successful.
