To maximize student learning and research options, we need to have a computer device in the classroom at all times. The Lenovo Convertable laptop will enable students to use the computer to research information on various topics as well as type up information when needed throughout the day. Dia De Los Meurtos is an upcoming research project that my students will be researching and creating a Google Slides presentation to show the celebration of Mexican Heritage. This will tie in with our informational writing unit in Writer's Workshop. We will have many other projects that require quite a bit of research. For example, students will be researching the four regions of California and creating a travel brochure to present the information which will also include pictures. Students will be researching and presenting another slide show on a different country. They will be focusing on traditions, celebrations, food and clothing. Having a device readily available for my students to use every day in the classroom is extremely important and beneficial to the growth of all of my students.
