In my kindergarten classroom, I customize lessons that require my students to use multiple intelligences to explore, discover, and engage each day in learning activities structured for all day kindergarten. I strive to provide ample opportunities for differentiated instruction and explicit instruction. An iPod Touch would assist me in providing access to interactive learning activities as well as an opportunity to track progress on an individual basis for multiple skills. I have students who could use an iPod to track progress on specific goals in speech, language, reading, fluency building and math. Students are empowered and motivated to track progress with apps making the interventions more sustainable and engaging with immediate feedback. The Apple iPod Touch will assist me in enhancing learning for different ability groups among several subjects including language, writing, math, reading, art, and music.
