I teach a Natural Resources Management course. As an end to the course project, I would like to have my students make a 3D Printed fishing lure. We will use the calipers and calculators to measure a prefabricated lure. After making our measurements, we will increase or decrease the size of the existing lure by a factor of 2-3, thus the need for calculators. We will then create a computer-aided design (CAD) for the 3D printer to create their own lure, add some treble hooks, and then it's time to go fishing.
