Imagine having so sit on a hard metal seat that is connected to a desk for 5+ hours a day? In order to get in or out, you need to contort your body so your legs can swing out to the side with the opening. My students are expected to learn this way but I want to give them better seating options. I am inspired by amazing classrooms I see online but I am also overwhelmed, because I need to accommodate up to 27 tweens in my small classroom. Many of my students are in the midst of their growth spurt, their legs barely fit under the desk. Wobble stools are the first step to creating some flexible seating options for my students; not only are they a great trick for fidgety students, but there are also a needed sensory break for anyone who is tired of sitting in a metal chair for most of the day. I have seen them in other classrooms and I already have a perfect conference table to place them around. I am excited and proud to submit my first Donors Choose project.
