Hello, I'm Mrs. Powell and I teach ESOL at a Title I elementary school in an urban setting. I work with small groups of 10-12 students to provide language support. Throughout my day I work with four classes of kindergarten students. I provide targeted instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities to promote the students' language development. My passion is for teaching literacy skills, especially foundational reading and writing skills. I want all of my students to be successful in communicating their ideas through writing, and I want to integrate technology as meaningful ways to publish student writing.
