Our classroom is limited to only a few very old desktop computers. They are not the most reliable for everyday student use so having tablets would bring much needed technology in the classroom. When my students pick up the tablets, it will be more than just fun and games: they will be exploring classroom topics like never before! Some of the great apps and websites I hope for my students to use are some of the following: -ClassDojo: A classroom behavior system and community building site shared by students and parents. My students could use their tablets to take pictures of their science projects, math, and more to post to their class page. -ProdigyGame.com: This is a fun site in which students use their knowledge of math skills in a Pokemon-styled world. The skills can be adjusted by the teacher to reinforce current curriculum. -Accelerated Reader (AR): AR is a terrific tool for students to test on books that they have read. -XtraMath: Students can practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. -BrainPop: Through this website students have access to videos and games for hundreds of topics from reading, math, science, and social studies
