My students are in a Title I school, which 85-95% of the students have free and reduced lunch. Many of the students come from low income families that live in Section 8 housing. The students will be excited to receive these binders to know that they have something that all the other students in my classes will have. The students can barely bring their own supplies, much less an extra binder needed for reading class. I have encouraged them to bring extra spirals but they don't have the extra money to get those. The parents feel that school supplies are expensive as it stands. I do buy many extra things, such as pencils and paper but these binders are something that I can't buy for each child. The children would really appreciate your help.
