Having more flexible seating options in our third grade classroom will help encourage kids to be collaborative, creative, and give them choice about where they learn best. This will make our classroom more student-centered so students can have the opportunity to learn to their greatest potential. Flexible seating has also been known to increase student engagement. Students will be able to choose their own seating for the day to help them have control over their learning environment. Students can sit at desks, low tables, standing desks, lap desks on the floor and so much more. This project will help give my students more options for actual seating to make our classroom even better.
