My classroom is in a low-income school in an urban community. My students' families come from all over the world including Cambodia, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, Thailand, and more. Many of them are English Language Learners. They are curious and have a love of learning that is often only satiated in school. Unfortunately, many of my students lack typical childhood experiences such as going to museums or libraries. We try to build their worldly knowledge as much as possible within the school setting and my students can't get enough of it. They make me proud every single day through their perseverance and hard work.
