I will use the Phonics Wheels to provide interventions for students who are needing more support with their basic reading skills. Aside from using the wheels one-on-one with teacher and student, they can also be used with pairs of students giving the students more autonomy in the classroom. The Rekenreks provide a visual and tactile way to show numbers. I would use them with small groups of students and allow them to explore addition and subtraction, missing addends, and to create word problems and have a partner solve them using the rekenrek. These resources will make learning more concrete. The dominoes will provide various games for the students to practice math skills throughout the entire year!
