In a technology applications class, students do everything from formatting documents, to making and editing videos and presentations, and to more technical assignments like beginning coding where students design webpages and code video games. I am requesting cameras, webcams, a digital frame and accessories for assignments/projects use and displaying of electronic work. My students will learn that technology comes in various forms and doesn't do the work for them, but assists is making the work easier. They are still the masterminds! With classes of normally 35+ students, it is sometimes challenging to complete assignments and projects having to share 1 or 2 cameras that are borrowed from the school's inventory among 5-6 groups in a class within the 4 day return. With multiple cameras stationed in the class, students won't have to be rushed and be able to complete higher quality work. LCD digital frames are for displaying their electronic work and the cameras with memory cards for my students to store their masterpieces on. Documentation of work at an International Baccalaureate campus is also a requirement to keep the endorsement active on the campus. Lastly, the students will be able to communicate with students not only in Houston, Texas, or the United States, but in others countries that are impossible to field trip to during a school day.
