Our school is a K-5 public school in Boston, MA. We have over 500 students in our building. Our students primarily come from a housing development in our neighborhood and are rich in diversity. We have a large percentage of English Language Learners and students with special needs. Many of our students who don't fit into those categories are struggling learners. A lot of our students come from low income situations where they face issues related to poverty. My students are 5th graders who are in their final year at our school. Their strengths and weaknesses vary, however they are unified by the need and desire to be engaged in their learning process. The range of academic abilities is great.
