I am a speech-language pathologist at an elementary school which has students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The students I work with are primarily in grades 2-5. My students have varying speech and language needs. Some students stutter, some have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds in words, some have difficulty understanding language, some students are minimally verbal, and other students have difficulty with social interactions. Even though they have such differing needs, the thing they have in common is the need to be understood by others and to understand the world around them. My goal for my students is that they all are able to find their individual strengths and use them to help them be successful communicators both inside the classroom and out.
