In my Special Day Class, I have students with disabilities that range from Intellectual Delay and Language Delay to Autism and Emotional Disturbance. Some of my students are non-verbal. Some of them have extremely high intelligence but an extreme difficulty understanding language of any kind. These students desperately need hands-on activities to help them access curriculum.
