I teach at a low-income, high-need school in NM. Over half of our students are learning English as a second language. Our community is full of wonderful people who are often experiencing some of the greatest adversities existing in our state. Our families want what is best for their children. I greet up to 26 bright-eyed, eager to learn children each day. They have a thirst for knowledge and LOVE science! Our school is Title I and serves 100% free breakfast and lunch. We are currently adopting a community school philosophy with services in hopes to better serve and reach our families' needs.
