The students at our Title I school, come from a low income neighborhood in Southern California. We are a large, public school with over 90% of the students on the free and reduced lunch program. Most of the students I teach are second language learners and are acquiring English. Overall, the students at our school do not have access to many art materials in their homes, even crayons, colored pencils and scissors are hard to come by in their homes!
