In our classroom, this year we do lots of learning at our seat and at home learning via our Chromebooks due to COVID 19. This makes Zoom meetings, virtual field trips, working in the classroom and all other learning that must take place on our Chromebooks hard without headphones.
Unfortunately, most of the headphones that we currently have are old or just don't work right. These students really need headphones to work independently with technology in reading and math.
Have you ever tried to record your fluency on a reading passage, or listen to someone reading a story, and been unable to hear because of the noise around you? That's what is happening in our classroom because our headphones are not working anymore. When everyone is working in the classroom on various tasks, it is often challenging to hear stories being read on the computer. We are in need of new headphones so that we can listen to our favorite stories and play learning math games. Being able to hear the stories and play educational games will help us get smarter.
By donating to this project, you will help enhance the students' ability to listen and to learn. Please help make a difference in our class by helping us get working headphones for every child. Thank you!
