I want to open up the world of investing to my students through The Stock Market Game offered by Economics Arkansas. Each team of 4 students costs $15, and a large majority of my students cannot afford the fees. The Stock Market Game is an amazing hands-on activity that the students love! They research different stocks, figure how many shares they are able to purchase with $100,000 per team, and compete with over 100 teams in Arkansas! This truly gives the students an opportunity to learn something they might never be exposed to otherwise. It's one of my favorite teaching tools and has been for several years. I haven't found anything else that compares with the quality of this activity in Economics.
