My students are first graders at an urban elementary school. We are a PK-6 building focused on literacy. My students are active, engaged in learning, and curious. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch and a fresh fruit/vegetable program 3 times a week that provides a snack to our students during the day. My students have many challenges in their daily lives however, they come to school ready to learn and are eager to participate.
