My school is located in Tennessee. This school has the highest poverty rate amongst all the other schools in our district. The children absolutely do not get opportunities to read a variety of books or magazines that are high quality. I only work with struggling readers so it's vital to expose them to many different genres of reading in the hopes that one such genre will spark an interest in reading. My ultimate goal is not just to create good readers, but also to instill a love, or at least a strong like, for reading.
