My 3rd grade students are amazing! They come from many different cultural backgrounds, life experiences, hardships and difficulties; yet, they are as eager as any other students to learn new things. Our elementary school is one of few accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) programs in Michigan. Approximately 80% of our students are on free/reduced price lunches. We provide many opportunities for our students to engage in school community events as well. Our main goal is improving literacy. This has been a school-wide effort with students, parents, and teachers working hard together!
