I teach in Texas at a Title I School with limited funding. I would like for my students to be exposed to an interactive listening center. When preparing students for reading comprehension in the early grades, teachers need to make certain their young pupils develop many literacy skills. One important group of skills they will need is phonemic awareness. My students have a limited supply of resources to choose from during center time. They would benefit from new interactive activities, which would allow them to work independently or in groups at the listening center. Incorporating technology in kindergarten will help to reinforce skills that the students are learning. The interactive centers that I am requesting will spark students' interest and allow them to increase their curiosities. These centers will allow students to develop problem solving and independent thinking skills that are instrumental to the learning process.
