We are an inner-city school with approximately 25 students in our first grade class! We are becoming thinkers and readers and work very hard each day! We are eager to learn, but sometimes need to move around and "get the wiggles out" and hands-on learning really motivates us to do our best! We love center work, as it allows us to lead our own learning, and gives our teacher the opportunity to "butterfly" around the room helping where needed, do individual testing, and work with small groups. We are proud to be Blue Streaks and are learning to be happy, productive students who care about learning and our peers!

About my class
