My school is a special place - a public school that seeks out, nurtures, and celebrates the best and brightest in EVERY child. We believe in an interdisciplinary approach to instruction, combining academic subjects with daily arts opportunities and teaching and assessing based on the special skills and learning styles of every student. A growing percentage of our students qualify for free and reduced meals and many have never been out of our county. Due to recent federal budget cuts, tough choices must be made about the resources we can provide our students each year. With the implementation of the Common Core Standards, it is vital that we provide students with books, technology, and other materials to help them achieve these high standards despite their socioeconomic backgrounds.
