My students attend an inner-city school located in west central Phoenix, Arizona and educates nearly 1,000 children in preschool through third grade. Ninety-eight percent of students qualify for federally subsidized free or reduced-price food services, a national indicator of children living in poverty; and 26% of students are English Language Learners (ELL). Our students understand that they WILL attend college one day, they WILL overcome any obstacle with hard work and dedication, and they WILL be a success story by making a difference in their community!

About my class
