My school is a title I school, which means 85% or more of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Most of my students come to school daily not prepared academically for the challenging work that I have planned for them according to state standards. Having a rug for all students to sit on at the same time will allow them to participate in all discussions about reading while we are meeting in small groups.
