Our school is a Title One School. We have a nice lab but as we have used consumables we have not been able to replace them. I was recently with a group of people who are employed in a variety of careers in the Medical Field. They wanted to know if students still got to dissect a frog. I had to say not in several years, but that we did do the virtual dissection. They all said that having that first hands-on experience of dissecting a frog in Middle School encouraged them to pursue a careers in Medicine. It peaked their interest in how the body works, and made them realize it was something they could do.
