Technology is a wonderful tool, and over the last few years, my students have grown more technologically advanced than I ever was at their age. However, it never fails that a child's face will light up at the sight of a new book that they can hold and flip through the pages. I want my students to regain the feeling of getting lost in an actual book. This is something that was greatly missing last school year when we had to utilize remote learning. Many of my students were home, and didn't readily have access to a large volume of books. When they received a bag of real books at their level, I saw the excitement in their faces. I want to recapture those feelings they had, and ensure that they have access to plenty of books to start at, and from which they can grow.
