I teach high school agriculture in a rural district in NE Iowa. Most of my students live in one of the two rural communities, but very few are actually farm raised. It is my challenge to get students motivated about the wonderful world of agriculture through things other than tractors and farm fields. Agriculture is one of the oldest life sciences. It is through these students that this world and more specifically this state must find a way to feed 9 billion people by 2050, on less land than we farm today. Please help me do just that, not feed 9 billion, but inspire students to take on that challenge.
