I have all levels in my room and not all my kids go home to a house where there is a parent to listen to them read. The more reading we can do in class the closer we will get to our reading goal. Our school is a low income school and generally many of our students do not come to us with knowing all their letters/blends and sounds, making reading difficult. Providing a safe fun reading spot will allow students to want to read and get lost in their book of choice.
