Having five subject notebooks and folders will help my students keep their work organized. Many of my Middle School students walk the hallways with papers hanging out of ripped folders and notebooks. They have a hard time finding anything and as a result end up with poor grades. Giving students the supplies they need to be organized on a daily basis will improve their grades and self esteem. It will eliminate the stress of trying to find their assignments and help them manage their notes. Organization is a skill that many children with learning disabilities need to be taught. As a teacher, this is very difficult to do with out the proper supplies.
