This set of 10 durable little Edison robots will be used by students of all ages for many years. Using a simple, block-style program (Edblocks), younger students will be able command their robots to go forward, turn, and play a simple tune. As students get older, and gain a basic understanding of what programming is, the robot "grows" with them. Using the Edscratch app, kids will be able to program more complex tasks that include light & color sensors and sound commands. Eventually, our more advanced students will be able to program the Edison robot in Ed.py, a word-based application that bridges to the Python programming language. These robots will give students at all levels a solid understanding of what programming can do.
