I am wanting to add a Google Home to my classroom for many reasons. 8th graders are very curious people who ask great questions, but sometimes I don’t know the answer and can’t always go straight to my computer to find the answer. A google home would keep these inquiring minds on their toes! They also need transitions within my room to be fast and smooth and with a Google Home I can set a timer, pick a number, or play a song to transition with a simple voice command. Another thing the Google Home can do for my classroom is help English Language Learners with quick word translations. This will cut down on class disruptions and keep my class running smoothly so students are learning more efficiently.
