My school is a public school in Utah. In Utah we rank lowest in funding per student than any other state. Our state is also a free education state, so we can't ask kids to bring school supplies. It is very important to our principal that we don't ask the kids for any supplies, due to the income level of our students. As I have taught science through the use of hands-on experiments the kids have gotten very excited about science. In fact, many of them would tell you that science is their favorite subject. Parents report their kids trying to duplicate experiments we did at home.
