My students are the beautiful black and brown young men of Urban Prep. They are eager to learn, and they love technology! In my Survey of Literature course, students have a high need for visual aids. In our learning style inventory, we discovered that over half of our freshmen class learns visually. Urban Prep is a non-profit charter high school. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive college preparatory education to urban young men. Our students come from all over the city of Chicago to attend Urban Prep. While many of our students come from lower-income homes, they make up for it in personality and motivation.
