Most of the students in my classroom qualify for free or reduced lunches. Therefore, they are already at a disadvantage. Last school year I had 4 autistic students in my classroom of 24 with no teachers aid. Because there are so many students (all on different learning levels) that need my individual attention. I have found that Differentiated Instruction is the best way to meet their individual needs. Learning Centers is what makes that possible, and best of all it gives students a positive attitude toward school and learning.
