My students are a diverse group of learners. Many of them come from homes where English is not their first language. Being at school is the only opportunity some of the students have to access books to read and listen to. Being able to listen to books will challenge the students in becoming better readers. It also helps English language learners learn the language when they have opportunities to listen to spoken word.
