Being able to provide children with the opportunity to learn another language and culture has been very rewarding. It is amazing how much interest they have and desire to learn a new language and culture. Our students consist of a very mixed population, many of whom speak other languages. My classes allow for everybody to communicate in one language and really work as a team. We are trying to keep language alive in our school, do to many funding cuts there is always a possibility of losing such a class. Therefore, in order to promote its success I am organizing a festival to that will allow teaching and learning through the arts. Children learn best when they are having fun and the festival will foster creative expression as well.
